Define the intended duty
State whether the enquiry concerns wet-end retention, drainage or another documented application. Do not substitute a wastewater grade solely because it is also called cationic polyacrylamide. Product suitability and any application-specific requirements need separate confirmation.
Provide furnish type, filler, broke contribution, process-water conductivity, pH and other wet-end additives. Identify the injection point relative to dilution, screens and shear-producing equipment.
Measure more than flocculation
A visible increase in floc size is not itself a machine benefit. Compare the intended retention and drainage measures with formation and relevant sheet properties. Hold furnish and other additives stable enough to interpret the trial.
Record chemical order and addition location. A trial that changes both polymer and shear history cannot attribute every resulting difference to product chemistry.
Advance through controlled qualification
Use suitable laboratory or pilot measurements to narrow the candidates, then agree a machine-trial plan with the production team. Define the target, unacceptable changes and sample timing before introducing a new product.
Prepare the commercial and technical enquiry with an exact duty description. Broader paper-process context is available in the Xinqi paper polymer resource.
